Get hands-on training for your John Deere equipment at our monthly "Yard Classes," starting April 2026. These free, expert-led sessions cover everything from routine maintenance to attachment swaps to ensure your machine stays out of the shop and in the field.
If you’ve ever looked at your tractor’s loader and thought, "I know there’s an easier way to do this," we’ve got you covered. At The Backyard, we believe the best way to avoid downtime is to empower the person behind the wheel.+
That’s why we’re launching our 2026 Yard Class Series. These aren't just lectures; they are "get-your-hands-greasy" sessions designed to turn you into a pro.
We’re rolling these out like a fresh coat of green paint! Our technicians and specialists are clearing their schedules on the first Saturday of each month (pending holidays) all summer long.
We aren't just "showing off" the latest gear; we’re sharing the Experience and Expertise (E-E-A-T) our team has built over decades. Our goal is to solve your problems before they even start.
By attending, you'll learn how to maximize your equipment's lifespan and efficiency. We’ll show you the shortcuts our own shop pros use to keep "downtime" from becoming "all-the-time."
Each class is hosted by a certified expert, like Muire Jones, who brings years of hands-on John Deere mastery to the table. Our first session in Pueblo focuses on the versatile Series 1 and 2 Compact Utility Tractors.
We take our training seriously so you can take your work seriously. For example, our 2026 Yard Class lead, Muire Jones, recently earned the John Deere Master Service Technician Award.
This isn't just a plaque on the wall—this award requires over 500 hours of specific Deere-certified training and a 90% or higher rating on technical proficiency. When you attend a Yard Class, you are learning from a technician who has met the highest global standards for equipment diagnostics and repair.
Are the Yard Classes free to attend? Yes! We want our local community to feel confident in their equipment, so these sessions are provided at no cost.
Do I need to bring my own tractor? Nope. We’ll provide the Series 1, 2, or other relevant John Deere units and attachments for the demonstration.
How do I find out the topic for next month? You can stay in the loop by checking our website, following our social media channels, or calling your local Greeley, Loveland, or Pueblo store.
Can I ask questions about my specific machine? Absolutely. We leave time at the end of every session for a Q&A with our certified specialists to help troubleshoot your unique needs.
Ready to get growing? We’ll see you at 10:00 AM on the first Saturday of the month!
